Translator's Notes: Now this is Dir en grey, man. Onto the *'s.

*1 - I have cut out the word hitaru from my translation because I could not reconcile its usage with the style I was going for. Technically this line should be interpreted as follows; "I saw or found a pressed flower and as I was looking out at the evening sky, it reminded me of the memories which that sky is so abundantly seeped in.

*2 - I am convinced this story is told from the perspective of an old or older man. Thus the nagai kami de hora is him either showing the person he's talking to how the girl looked by putting his hair over his eyes or is just making a point of that detail. The image here is that the girl had been crying all night and her eyes most likely looked as if she had. So she was hiding them.

*3 - Here's some Kyo word play. The kanji used for shikisou (various things) in this song is "four seasons" and "burial". It's probably just a poetic way of expressing "memories that time buried" or something along those lines. The second line here also uses different kanji. The word "saishoku" means color which goes with the image of "monochrome" later. However the kanji used denotes "the ability and beauty of a woman" so likely this is also a double meaning. Later on in the song yuumakureutsusu comes up. The ma used here is the kanji for fiend or devil.
